This new release contains interesting improvements in the workflow as well as bugfixes:

Workflow:

Remove tied notes when toggling the first step
Auto enable step trigger when tweaking step octave (in mono and chord) or step note (in multitrack)
Pick and Place chords: Press one chord in keyboard view or external keyboard, switch to sequencer view, tap a step and the last played chord will be entered.
Copy&Paste steps values and parts in the MOD lanes edit view
Fix in INIT END tooltip in MOD view

UX

Show CV status in the grid (configurable in settings)
Add to config a new setting to enable disable this feature
Print keyboard notes in screen (keyboard view)

And includes the following beta:

Pick and place is really nice! Why does the chord change though when you try to extend its length?

Leighzi88 I have this problem too, I have to push the 1st note on the grid while double push on the ending square.
That way I get the good chord but at middle octave, if the chord was some octave over or under I have to set it n’y hand.

Strange workflow but, for now, it works and it’s way more efficient than standard recording action 🙂

Yes, you have to do the gesture for setting a longer tied note right?

Manuel when a chord pick and placed it work correclty, but when I use the gesture to set a longer tied note, if the chors was octave up or down, it is set in the current octave.
If I push on the chord to change the octave, I get a strange behavor, so I need to make the gesture to set longer tied note two time and hold on the second time (the first time disable the tied if I remember). While holding, I set the correct octave and voilà !

I pick and place E3 minor, and then when I try to extend the length of the note by tying it becomes E2 minor … maybe I’m doing something wrong to extend the note?

Is anyone else having the problem where the oxi is not synching with USB? It keeps jumping back to INT, and when I change back to USB sync it does not start playing.

It worked flawlessly prior to updating with this firmware, and my Ableton settings are fine.

Please ignore. My Start Stop setting in the Midi menu was incorrect. To be honest, I don’t know if I changed it or whether it reset during the update. All good now. Thanks

It still exhibits strange behavior though. Transport starts with USB midi, but when I hit the spacebar to stop transport, the track resets to INT instead of USB. Works fine on 2.3 of course.

I am running 2.5.4 and every time I use one of the knobs to send CC messages, the output defaults to 0. The oxi displays numbers ranging 0-127 but the actual output is always 0. I am using Bluetooth midi connected to my iPad. This used to work before so I suspect it’s the firmware.

Note that this happens while I twist the knobs. Turning the controller on or off via a press on the knob makes no difference.

Also note, using the mod lanes works as expected.
But if there are no notes programmed then the knobs will only send out the value 0.

• Unison or LRU selection for voice allocation of cv (pitch, vel and trig env) and gate … (really cool, in analog config settings)
• New mode (not implemented yet)
Question: Is this available for download yet? Answer: I believe is on Discord. 🙃

Mism thanks for the link, I didn’t know Oxi was on the Elektronauts forum too. Seems a lot of different places - wouldn’t it be easier just to keep it in one place?

Thanks @Manuel for all the updates and tireless work you do - it’s already an amazing sequencer, and more amazing things always seem to be in the pipeline.

Summoning @Manuel, in case he wants to add it on gitlab.
Be aware this is the beta more beta so far, since there has been a lot of structural changes.
I’ve been messing with it for a while and a few major bugs are solved, I haven’t encountered more.
Maybe would be nice to set up a specific thread for this beta release bug reports.

I also use MRCC have diffuculties routing using the split. I do not feel or want go to telegram, discord or any other “safe place” who is not safe… 🙂
