OXI ONE FW 2.3

There has no been an official release so far from 2.0 but many improvements have been done.

It includes these main features, fixes and improvements:

Independent MOD lanes

Dedicated Mod settings menu (shift + encoder click or turn to open)
Independent start end points
Independent division-speed
Independent smooth factor
Button quick Functions like x2, /2, clear and so on work per lane
Lanes are linked by default, so actions like clear, duplicate, init, end, x2 and /2 only affect the lanes that are linked.

Spread can be set per step in chord mode.
Auto clock (analog input not yet supported) and Auto fallback to internal clock

Random Perform values are now set per track in Multitrack mode

Mute and Solo indication in the grid when pressing Mute in multitrack mode
Improved Pattern generator workflow (go to euclidean menu).
Improved euclidean workflow.
Lfo and external Cv modulation sent to pitch is now quantized to the scale in chord mode
Unipolar & Bipolar velocity, octave and gate randomization

Others:
Keyboard chromatic scale: black notes are shown with pad LED off
Multitrack: selected track is shown in the grid
USB MIDI Windows fix*
Harmonized sequencers stay in sync with the master

Still a very new user, working my way up.

Installed this update with OXI Desktop on MacOS Big Sur. Needed three attempts, but
installed successfully in the end.

Can’t say much about the newest beta update and its efficiency yet since I am still exploring, but hopefully
it will work as expected. I’ll keep my eyes open if I find something and eventually report back.

Thanks for all the hard work you put into the Oxi One to make it even better, great job! 😄

Running 2.3 on my Oxi without a problem. Updated on a 2019 iMac running OS Monterey. Oxi App works perfect.

I updated to v2.3b3 from 1.08 beta (I think - if I’m not mistaken it was the first one introducing stochastic mode). And noticed that projects 2-5 got deleted while project 1 was still there. Is this expected behaviour? Its no issue for me, using betas comes always at a risk. I just thought I’d share this.

Update process on Mac went like a charm (despite the project losses 🙂.

Joscha Hmm not a thing of the beta in particular. I know Manu was careful with all the updates since the beginning in order to have project compatibility. There were exactly 24 update releases since 1.08 to the current beta so.. no idea if the big leap is to blame. Anyway, remember to back up important projects with the desktop app.

Joscha hello! You need to backup first before updating. It was part of the process to update to 2.0
If those projects are important, you can revert to 1.0.8 , backup and transfer back to the 2.3 🙂

accatone there’re 4 sequencers, up to 8 mono tracks each.

The feature that I desire is those four sequencer types at least plus 2. I realised you can copy mono tracks to the multitrack but that’s not the same as having the full features of all the other sequencer types at your finger tips.
Will it be possible? Thank you

accatone I agree it sure would be great if sequencers 1-4 could be “doubled” with a clever key combo, which would by magic reveal sequencers 5-8 in a 2nd layer. I am pretty sure this would have been done already if it was within the limits of the machine. Happy to be proved wrong - @Manuel?

Alternatives: you could buy another Oxi of course. I’ve seen a lot of people use another sequencer together with the Oxi - preferably something a bit different. I’m using a DFAM and Euclidean Circles for example.

Edit: not sure if I understood @accatone ’s request. So perhaps I suggested something else🤷🏻‍♂️

That was exactly what I was talking about. Also on chord mode I’d love to see a strumming option. And also different chord progression option from major to minor etc on the fly. Sorry if I’m asking too much it’s my feedback from dealing with the machine. Still learning!
