Its very cool that you are offering a free case at 200K (which you will do doubt hit) but I can’t help think you would be better doing the mini HDMI socket first?

My reasons are:

Case can be bought latter- a socket needs adding before production!
Adding the socket encourages modular guys to buy (even more of them!)
The socket creates a new product opportunity for the Eurorack Breakout Modules
I want it 😀

Good reasoning but, modular is a minority and everyone would benefit for a case.
The HDMI goal won’t be too far from it, we are confident we can hit that goal 😃

As long as you hit the goal, I am a happy buyer (with the free case and a modular break out socket!)

If it helps I will pledge to but the cable/breakout module (Eurorack, 3U will be fine thanks) 😆

Lets get this pesky much needed CV breakout out of the way so we can push for the velocity pads! 😁

Can you share with us what the amounts for stretch goals are?

Since the perks dont really add up to 200k, I am wondering if the velocity pads are actually feasible.

My math is:
Perk 1: 100 × 499€ = 49900€
Perk 2: 200 × 530€ = 106000€
Perk 3: 10 × 990€ = 9900€
For a total of: 165000€

Not taking into account pledges that are not perks or Split units.

About the stretch goals:
200k travel case
250k OXI Pipe
for the pressure sensitive pads… well, we’ll see, that’s a major rework of the hardware and software with the increased cost per unit.
We have to get to those two first!

Totally understandable, it’s a big"extra". We should have discussed this earlier. I would definitely be ok paying extra for a few velocity sensitive pads. However, i don’t want to talk about this any more, it’s almost disrespectful to the team who have put together a fantastic sequencer that we’re all excited about. We can always add an external controller if we really need velocity sensitive input.

Your words are refreshing, thank you!
Some people seem to ignore what it has taken us to reach the point we are.
It’s been more than 2 years now since the project started, and yes, we definitely want to reach the goal to add it, but it’s a huge rework that would put us back in the development timeline. Not that it could bring delays if everything works well, but shift happens.

I still understand the people craving for it though, I’m the first, believe me 😃
It’d make OXI One truly one of a kind.

This is looking awesome so far. I’m really excited for the OXI Pipe/HDMI connection which seemed to come out of nowhere at the last minute. That does look like a really solid idea.

I dont think its a case of us being disrespectful of the work, its more of clearing up misunderstandings. we asked for clarification since you posted 3 goals without specifying what would enable those goals.

I think everyone here is undoubtably impressed with what you guys have achieved in such a short timespan! It shows with the amount of backers you got in the first 24 hours of launching 🙂

Looks like we have pretty much hit the free case, so the real push is for the pipe which to me (with 500hp+ of euro) would be invaluable, but I realise that it isn’t as exciting to everyone!

I had never even considered that it could go velocity sensitive when I paid my 1E all that time ago, but you guys put it up as a stretch goal so you have poked the wasps nest! People of course want it, so lets hope it happens. We will never know, but I wonder if it had been designed/advertised with velocity sensitive pads and marketed as a controller AND a step sequencer if it would have had a broader appeal? A well publicised and achievable goal may be the way to find out!
