User replaceable battery?

I see this will be battery powered. I really hope the battery can be easily replaced by the user. I feel so sad when products have glued in non-replaceable batteries.

Yet to disclose. Replacing the battery could be possible but may void the warranty. We’ll see how that goes.

Thanks! I was thinking when the battery no longer holds a charge and needs to be replaced that we could buy one from you guys and do it ourselves. I guess this would be many years after the initial purchase so warranty should not be an issue.

I think a large amount of all e-waste that is created due to glued in batteries (mobile phones, computers,etc) could be reduced with user replaceable batteries. Imagine if macbook pros could have easily replaceable batteries!

I second this … I hate to dispose equipment, only because the battery has died, or a replacement is taking a specialist and sending gear around the world …

If you have to glue it, maybe you could use adhesive glue strips with pull tabs? Like these ones

I guess using these wont require a redesign for the battery.

Sure! If the link doesnt work again, you can just google '‘adhesive glue tape with pull tabs’

Its what Apple has been using to glue the iphone 6s battery. You can just pull one end of the tape and it stretches and releases the battery. Quite smart really and makes battery replacement so mich easier tha traditional glue.

Perhaps Oxi Two has arrived before the lifecycle of Oxi Ones battery has ended, but I also want a user replacement battery. Look how easy it is to change the battery on the OP-Z:

Joscha OXI mounts a Lipo battery with a JST, anyone with an screwdriver will be able to replace it after warranty is gone. The battery should work way more than one year which is the warranty period.
We’ll provide spare batteries 😀
Furthermore the OXI One will even work plugged and powered with no battery.

Also is there a way to prevent the device from showing the full-screen battery problem alert? You are right that the unit works without battery when plugged in, but the full-screen alert can get in the way a bit.
